This was a wonderful introduction into Miles' world. I loved the characters of Aral and Cordelia. Their stories were weaved together carefully and cleverly.

A surprising let down. The stories made motherhood seem unbearable at all times.

Surprisingly good. The story of a teenager who foolishly marries a prisoner and the attorney who becomes her mentor. This book was paced well and the characters were written well.

I enjoyed this book very much as a sequel to Angela's Ashes. Frank McCourt's life story is somewhat incredible.
