I found this book to be very slow for the first three quarters of the book and then most of the storyline was squeezed into the rest. I read this as a book club pick but if it had not been for that, I would probably have stopped reading after the first few chapters. I love the idea of the storyline but was very disappointed in the story development. I was also bothered by the editing. Multiple typos or words missing letters.... 'though' instead of 'through' and an occasional past tense that should have been present tense etc.

I cannot praise this book enough. It's a beautiful, simple story that makes the world appear to be so simple, so black and white. It makes you realize how much we typically take for granted... kind of a 'stop and smell the roses' deal. It's a really easy read too.

This is an excellent read. The only reason I gave it the rating I did is because I simply don't care for the circus lifestyle theme which I obviously expected from the book but decided to read it anyhow. Really well written and great story (even if you hate the circus like me!)
