This book is a fairly interesting medical drama. It tells of the hospital back in the 60's. There are several different characters but the main one seems to be Dr. Pearson. He is an aging pathologist who walks around the hospital with a cigar in his mouth (not in this day and age, huh?). It tells of his knowledge and leadership, but his inablility to test new ideas and procedures. In my opinion, this is a good book!

This is a very good book. When you have a child, you promise to protect that child and love and nurture it. Mothers are supposed to be the person who loves you when no one else does. How could a mother kill her children? We will never understand it. Theresa Cross claimed to love her children, yet beat them severly and made the other children help. I thought this was a good read and cannot believe this is a true story.

This was a relatively good book. It is more about the caring and compassion that nurses must have for their patients than about their everyday life. The author has gathered stories from her fellow nurses and combined them in this book.

Mrs. Crumb is a 64 yr old chef who is working at her son's logde. While preparing dinner one night, a scream is heard throughout the house. A guest has been found dead by the fireplace with a plate of Mrs. Crumb's tartlets scattered around him. Fearing that her food may have been the cause of the untimely death, she decides to try her hand at detective work to find the cause. Along with her friend Max, she finds herself in all sorts of situations.
I thought this was a good quick read. It also has a bonus in the back. A recipe for Mrs. Crumb's Lemon Crumble Cake!!!!!!!
