My best description for this book is a Christian mystery. I didn't really have a problem with the Christian aspect, I just didn't think it was particularly well written and the characters were very one dimensional.

First in an anticipated series. I really enjoyed this book and liked the second in the series even better!

One of the best books I have read in years. It is not easy to read, but I promise you will never forget it - both hopeful and heartbreaking. For what it is worth, Time Magazine named it one of the best books of all time.

I actually listened to this years ago and wanted to listen to it again. Be warned that this version is so abridged that you will miss big chunks of the story. I wished I had looked for an unabridged version. It is still an okay story and may be okay if you don't know what you are missing.

I have listened to all of this series on CD and really enjoy them. Bobby Cannavale brings Michael Bennett and his large family alive. Fairly mindless entertainment, but very enjoyable while it lasts.

Very standard Katie Fforde, if you like her books, you will like this one.
