I am an avid reader of Jeffery Deaver. This particular book moved a bit slow for me but, as is so often the case with Jeffery Deaver, the plot took unexpected twists and turns holding my interest throughout. Just when I thought the story was nearly over it took off again in several different directions. All in all this book was a good read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The author endured a terrifying life change which he details in this book. I enjoyed his style of writing and I learned a great deal about a part of our culture that I wish no one had to experience.

This book is not a literary giant. It is a true account of one man's experience of being homeless for a year and a half. I love it.
In most ways this book is very simple. The author's writing style is unsophisticated and natural. I anticipated that I would be drawn into the story by the use of clever literary skills. Instead I was drawn into the story by the reality, honesty and lack of drama. It is an account and, in the end, a clarion call rather than a novel written to entice and provide fodder for the voyeur.
I am not going to post this book in the near future because I believe I will read it again and maybe again. I loved it. I now understand that any one of us could be eating breakfast at sally's (the Salvation Army). Mr. LeMieux is self-effacing and does not attempt to draw pity from the reader. He does present a few moments where we are provided a painful glimpse into the reactions of strangers to the homeless. At some points Mr. LeMieux becomes "preachy". Who can blame him? He writes from the perspective of a homeless man who once had everything and lost it all. When he does preach it is to draw the reader's attention to the invisibility of the homeless in America.
If you are looking for an amazing piece of literature, this is not the book for you. If you need to be fed juicy tidbits of the personal lives of the homeless beyond their daily struggles, this is not the book for you. If you love authenticity and simplicity in the telling of a story this is the book for you. Awesome, Mr. LeMieux, awesome!

This book will appeal to those of us who hunger for living stories of God's power and grace in the life of one man and his impact on millions of people. It would also be a compelling read for anyone still on the fence about whether God works actively in our world today.

Well, I simply love to read Greg Iles so I like nearly all his books and have only rejected one that I can think of and that only because it was very frightening. This book does not disappoint though it seemed to start slow for me. I found the details to add value as the story continued. I do not consider Greg Iles to be an easy read. I hope you enjoy this book.

I found this book to be informative and easy to understand. If you are looking for a quick and simple review of a wide range of food items and how they impact your body this book is an excellent resource. If you are looking for a book with detailed information this book is not for you. It is a general overview with quick access.

At one time I followed this particular plan in an effort to lose weight. It worked. This is book is deeply informative with a great deal of explanatory information intended to validate the eating plan. It was a bit ponderous to me yet I understood the concept and when I tried it I had success. It is not the book's fault that I did not stick with the program.

Mr. Bradshaw has a good grasp of the challenges facing many of us once we become adults with childhood issues leading us around by the nose. This book was one of the most pivotal books I read during my initial recovery in therapy. I consider it a must read for anyone grappling with childhood issues or anyone wondering just why in the heck they can't get it together as an adult.

I admit to a passion for all things Lawhead. His writings cover a wide range of characters.Theyt are so rich with the history and nuances of any time frame and peoples he chooses to populate his books that I find myself immersed to the point of distraction in my daily life. The series, begun by this book, checks all the boxes, in my opinion, for a Lawhead fan. Enjoy! As usual the degree of difficulty in reading Lawhead's books is high for average readers but not impossible if read slowly. The only author whose writing satisfies me as deeply is James Lee Burke. Both authors are skilled writers with a devotion to writing that goes byond the pale.

This book makes for a very interesting read with the two perspectives of the authors. It is thought provoking. I went back and forth about letting it go out of my library but I need room for more books and hope someone will get this book at just the right moment in their life.

I enjoyed this audio book a great deal. It is spoken by Michael J. Fox and is an honest and unflinching look at his life prior to and after his diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease. I highly recommend this book especially as an encouragement to those of us who have chronic illness and for those who enjoy true life stories that compel us to look inside ourselves.

Absolutely chock full of positive and encouraging thoughts from many people who have succeeded in life through hard times and challenges. This book would make a great resource book when planning talks and presentations as there are a plethora of perspectives.

This book, although not written recently, certainly is appropriate for our times and the world events. Mr. Graham is a man of truth and he does not waiver from that truth in this book. I believe it is written in a way that most people can enjoy reading it. Don't let the title scare you from the book.

This is a true story though parts of it defy the imagination. The story is shocking both in the treatment of the young woman by her family once she becomes a Christian and in some of the spiritual experiences had by this young woman. I did not find the book to be written particularly well but I found the story compelling. It certainly made me grateful that I live in a country where freedom is highly valued.

Wow!! I hardly know what to say about this book. It is not an easy read. It took my breath away by bringing Christian persecution so close to home. These are real people who represent what is actually happening around the world and the ultimate sacrifices so many men and women make to spread the word of God.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It did not romanticize people who accomplish what is seen as "genius" rather it emphasized the remarkable amount of dedication and hardwork required to earn that title.

Amazing story of overcoming the most difficult of circumstances. The mother's courage took my breath. I read this book at a time when I was feeling sorry for myself. This book lifted me out of that space. Learning how someone faced with what seem impossible circumstances finds a way to succeed is inspiring. Bravo to John Foppe.
