Much of the book is dedicated to Guidrid, The Far Traveler, and the proof that she actually existed. Archeological studies of how the Vikings lived, where they explored, and finally a short account of how Christianity affected them.

I got nothing done for a day and a half, the book was spellbinding and I couldn't put it down.

A great post-apocalyptic novel full of inventions and surprises, so the blurb on the back of the book reads. Anyone familiar with the story of the Winchester Mystery House will love this book even more, as it plays a major role. A mystery, suspense, bad guys, good guys, changelings, it has it all. It got to be a can't-out-it-down-now kind of book towards the end.
