It was an age of ambition, greed and excess, when King Henry VIII of England let no law of God or man stand the path of his desires. This was the royal court where young Honor Larke was lady-in-waiting to the queen Henry would move heaven and earth to divorce in favor of his sultry mistress, Anne Boleyn. This was the struggle in which Honor had to take sides, as she moved from being a pawn to being a player in a game of power, passion and perfidy...a dangerous game in which a single mistake would mean certain death.

If you like the poetry of D.H. Lawrence you will love this volume. It brings together the best of his writing at three important phases of his life, " the first year of his relationship with Frieda, the two years in Sicily, and the last year of his life."

This was a good romantic thriller. I enjoyed the mystery suspense part of it and the romance between Kate and her best friend's brother, Dylan. Very entertaining.
From the back cover:
"An unpretentious beauty, who radiates kindness, Kate MacKenna doesn't have a bad bone in her body - or an enemy in the world. So why are bombs igniting every where she goes? The first explosion brings her face-to-face with a handsome Charleston police detective. The second one sends her into the arms of best friend's brother - a Boston cop who's a little too reckless and way too charming for comfort. But Dylan Buchanan won't let emotion prevent him from doing his job: Someone is trying to kill Kate, and Dylan is the only one standing between her and the monster who wants her dead."

This was a good book about second chances in life. Susan is a white woman and a nurse, who serves on a jury that convicts Cleveland Black Horse, a half-breed Indian and rodeo cowboy, of murder. She has her doubts about his innocence and allows herself to be coerced into voting "guilty". Cleve, wrongly convicted of murder, has to pick up the pieces of his life and learn to forgive and trust. A set of extraordinary circumstances brings Cleve and Susan together again and they must struggle to find their way to each other.
