I found this book most interesting. It touches on political, social, and religous issues of the time. It explains in detail(but not too much) about the different parties and sects involved. I learned a great deal and would recommend it highly.

A must read. We've all been exposed to the Arthurian legends to some extent. This book is by far the best I've ever read. I have read this book 5 times in the last 25 years.
