I liked this book. It's a small town setting in Colorodo where Abby, the main character and heroine, inherits a candy store from her aunt. She's trying to be involved in the community when another shop owner dies in a fire and her brother is the number one suspect. You have to read it for the rest but it's a fun mystery with some candy recipes. The drawback is that this feels like it's been done before (I'm thinking Goldy from Diane Mott Davidson's series) so when you're done reading it, you feel like you've already read it before and just forgot some of the detail.
Overall, a fun mystery though and Abby Shaw is so likeable!

If you like the offbeat humor Christopher Moore has, you'll like this. Coyote is a trickster from Native American mythology but he is real and messes up life for Samson Hunter. Originally, he's Sam Hunts Alone but leaves the Crow reservation as a teenager when he has a deadly incident with the police. He winds up in Santa Barbara and if you evet read Practical Demonkeeping, The Stupidest Angel and BLoodsucking Fiends, you'll see a couple of characters from there.
This is another light humorous quick read book. Save any Moore book when you need a laugh.

This book takes place before the Revolutionary war and does an excellent job portraying how life was right down to details about the furniture. I liked that aspect of it. The murder wasn't so sensational and the victim is really dislikable so it's hard to really care about the character. Overall, a good pleasant cozier read.
