The Baby-sitters, plus several charges, get stranded on a deserted island off the coast of Connecticut. Yes, you heard that right. This book is worthy buying just for the cover picture, in which it is nearly impossible to determine which character is which.

#8 in the California Diaries series, a spin-off of the Babysitters Club. This is the UK edition, with a fun, colorful, cover. Maggie, the narrator of the book, is struggling with anorexia.

Oh-so-snarkworthy: Mallory dyes her hair from red to blonde using WASH OUT hair dye. Wacky California hippies, too...good fun.

Funny read about a girl on a dairy farm. Plot twists surprised me more than once.

I was surprised by this book...it's actually a fairly sensitive portrayal of homelessness.

I'm not sure I want to give this one up...a very original fantasy by the wife of Scott Westerfeld.

My favorite BSC Super Special. Characters even get new traits, like Mary Anne's annoying guidebook habit.
