WE HAD JUST USED THIS COMPANY'S SERVICE IN JUNE FROM A DEATH IN MY FAMILY. WHEN I SAW THIS BOOK WAS OUT, HAD TO READ IT. THIS WRITER GOES ALONG WITH THE COMPANY WHEN THEY DO CLEAN-UP JOBS. I WAS DISSAPOINTED WITH THE WRITING AND THE WRITER SPOKE MORE ABOUT HIS FEELINGS AND PAST ,THEN I WOULD HAVE LIKED. THE COMPANY IS A RIP-OFF COMPANY TO INSURANCE COMPANIES (THIS FROM PERSONEL EXPERIENCE) AND WHEN THEY TALKED ABOUT THE OWNERS DRIVING AROUND IN LIMO'S ALL THE TIME AND THE NEW CARS THEY BUY, WELL IT KIND OF TICKED ME OFF. THEY QUOTE YOU 1 PRICE AND THEN TURN AROUND AND CHARGE YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY 4 TIMES THE QUOTE, AND THEY GET IT!!! IF THATS NOT INSURANCE FRAUD THEN I DONT KNOW WHAT IS.

All Fishermen are Liars: True Tales from the Dry Dock Bar (Large Print)
Review Date: 4/2/2009
Helpful Score: 1

This book is written by the sword-fisherwoman that was on "The perfect storm". She is witty and charming and says whats on her mind. Alot of it is set in a bar with its bar room talk, and its a lot of give and take with a grain of salt.I really like her style of telling a tale.

Bound for Canaan : The Underground Railroad and the War for the Soul of America
Review Date: 4/2/2009
Helpful Score: 4

This is a story of the underground railroad. It seems to have many heroes in this book and once you pick it up you can not put it down. You find yourself thinking about some of the stories when you are not reading the book. One of the best books I have ever read.

When I first read this book I cried and cried. How can anyone be so cruel to a little child. When I read it a second time I began to understand that He was writing the story for his own sanity and to help others. There are 2 more books that follow this story. To have the kind of forgivness he has toward his mother is super-courage. It is sure worth the time to read this book, but when you are finished you want more, and there is another one by him and then one written by his brother.

The Miracle Man: The Life Story Of Joao De Deus
Review Date: 4/2/2009
Helpful Score: 1

This is a true story of a man who cures people of uncurable diseases. He does it through the help of Doctor spirits. Its very inspiring and you must have an open mind. I had heard of this man through the news so it was interesting to read the book. I like it very much. Not for the non-believer.

Money for Nothing: One Man's Journey Through the Dark Side of Lottery Millions
Review Date: 8/27/2009
Helpful Score: 1

I really liked this book cause it told you about the inner working of the lottery and the illusion that they give to the public about Pot amounts. I work for a lottery and didnt even know about some of the goings-on.It is about one mans journey working for an agency that buys annuity's from past winners and the con-game they use to get what they want without the people being aware of what they are doing. The lenghts they go to secure a deal is unbeliveable! If you play the lottery its worth reading and knowing what the jack-pots REALLY are.

My Life With Sylvia Browne: A Son Reflects on Life With His Psychic Mother
Review Date: 4/10/2009
Helpful Score: 1

This is pretty good book written by Sylvia's son who is also "Gifted" Although he doesnt cost as much as his mother for a reading. Some of it has been already stated in other books of Sylvia's, but there is a fresh outlook on some of the stories. If you are a Sylvia Browne Fan, I would recommend you read this book and get another side to the stories.

Very good pictures are in this book. The read on this book is fast and fun. There are occupations that I never knew even existed. Wish I could find one of these fun jobs. Not all the jobs described in this book are fun, but some-one has to do them.Over-all a Fun and light read.

If you are a TRUE survivor fan , then this book is for you. It follows the very first episode of survivor and has "behind the scenes" chapters on what goes on with life in a game. The characters in the first episode are unforgetable, such as Rudy, Richard and Susan. I really liked this book.

This book was an easy read and quite informative about the war. If you love animals, you will relate to this story. It is the story of a zoo in Poland during the occupation of Germany. Its really cute in the beginning with the "way it was" but as with anything in that era, nothing last forever. A husband and Wife help the underground with the Getto residents and it does fill the heart to know such good people exist in the world, even though it happened dacades ago. A very nice read.
