Absolutely loved this book- really took me back to another time and place- I didn't want to come back. And to think that the events actually happened- she just wrote a story around them- you can't make this stuff up! Left me wanting more.

Excellent book--I highly recommend any Christian to read it. Looks at what repentance is from a Biblical perspective and then what that means for us.

THis story has a few unexpected twists and turns-you think the story is resolved at the half way point but it's really just begun!

I enjoyed this book, I had never heard of the lady divers. Amazing what they trained their bodies to do. Also amazing that a whole culture came to rely on women to make the money and men to stay home and keep the house and kids. Yet many turn to gambling and drugs.

I really enjoyed this book. It has subtle Christian tones, but not in your face. Great mystery and the characters are well developed. You find yourself really liking and caring about the family.

I loved this book. It had just enough fairy tale to keep you guessing, while still keeping your feet firmly planted in the world. A great look at what it is like to live in rural Alaska.
