I got one of the best ideas from this book: the use of the peg system for behavior modification with the kids.

Rick Joyner is a false prophet, and this book is evidence. It starts out fairly interesting, but it just drags on and on. I couldn't believe that his vision was from the Lord, so it held no interest for me and I laid it down about half-way through.

I swapped this for my daughter, she's an animal lover. Unlike most anime, it didn't have magic or mysticism. It is a funny, enjoyable book, and she looks forward to the next one.

Centered around the kidnapping of a 17 yr old kid, this book is a thrill ride from cover to cover. It is a Christian book, but there is very little in it that is Christian besides the main character himself. It is light on the theology, but touches on topics such as integrity, honesty, and loyalty.

I'm an adult and I read this book because one of the teens in our club picked it. I wasn't thrilled, but once I started it, I couldn't put it down. Excellent delivery, easy to read prose, exciting story.

A+++++

The Unusual Suspect: My Calling to the New Hardcore Movement of Faith
Review Date: 10/15/2009
Helpful Score: 2

I bought this from Stephen Baldwin himself at a festival. To be honest, I walked up to the booth out of curiosity, and bought the book out of charity. I must say I was very pleasantly surprised. Not only that the book is truly good, but I also expected that Stephen was a product of the Emergent movement or something else even more freaky that he stumbled upon in Hollywood. Boy was I wrong. He's right on the money about faith and our walk with the Lord, he is a true brother in Christ. His story moved me, and convicted me about spending more time on my face before the Lord. Way to go Stephen, and may God continue to bless you and your ministry.
