1105 Yakama Street is the home of Bruce and Rachel Peyton and 13-year-old Jolene, except Rachel has left because she's pregnant and Jolene's jealousy is too stressful. Olivia's and Will's mother left something on a lit burner----the kitchen is a total loss. The Bellamys have separated because of Leonard's treatment of Linc, daughter Lori's new husband. All is well by the end of the book; such wonderful reading getting there!

Hilarious little book from one of my favorite authors. This is a kind-of survival manual based on Ms Binchey's real-life hip replacement surgery. She calls it a Cheer Up book. So do I.

The author falls for a French man, moves in with him in Paris, and tries to fit in. It's difficult----she's Australian! The culture clash is funny and entertaining. Looking forward to her next adventure, coming out this fall.

You have to remember that Margot Rosenthal is very young (20), has grown up without a mother, and has been protected by an adoring father. Even though very well educated, she can be forgiven for making some very bad choices.
I enjoyed this work of historical fiction so much that I'm going to read "The Kommandant's Girl" and "The Diplomat's Wife" both sequels to this book.

This is a wonderful book. Enzo is a great character, but I was more interested Danny. Mr Stein drew him as an especially strong, controlled person. It was up-lifting to be reminded that some parents will sacrifice everything for their children.

Below Stairs: The Classic Kitchen Maid's Memoir That Inspired 'Upstairs, Downstairs' and 'Downton Abbey'

Read this book because I'm a Downton Abbey fan. I wonder if Ms Powell would have been less whiney and bitter if she had found better situations.

When daughter Sheridan gets a text message from supposedly dead foster sister, April, Joe Pickett stumbles into an environmentalist-gone-mad murder spree.
C.J. Box has written another excellent Western mystery and this one wasn't as violent and gruesome as some earlier ones. Loved it!

McMurtry is not one of favorite authors, but I can't resist any book with "Books" in its title. This memoir is about his lifelong passion for the printed word. He lived in a bookless home until a cousin gifted him with 19 boy's books. From that gift his collection grew until he filled several downtown buildings in Archer City, Texas (his home town) with his store, Booked Up, containing some 400,000 volumes of rare, antique, and collectible books.
I loved the charming, graceful, and humorous stories of one of America's most prominent bookmen.

Lindsey Norris loses her job and boyfriend in he same week. She moves to a tiny, coastal, New England town as the new library director. Her life is almost perfect----until she stumbles onto the body of a local award-winning children's author-----and her best friend is accused of the murder!
This first of a three-book(so far)series is an easy, fun read with knitting instructions and recipes, too. I've ordered the 2nd book and am looking forward to another delightful story.

This is the 2nd of the Cork O'Connor thriller/suspense series and I liked it much better than the first. Action takes place in the Quetico-Superior Wilderness as Cork and a cadre of both good and bad guys search for a
famous country western singer.
