This was interesting, but very depressing. I have never experienced true poverty as this family did. there seemed to be no generosity in his community, and lots of alcoholism. I did not like all the sexual content in this book. Also all the Catholic fear and superstition was interesting to read about.

I LOOOOVVVVEEEED this book! It is a feel-good book, very refreshing, relaxing and enjoyable. I can't wait to read the others in the series.

cute little book full of foreign "alien" words that kids can figure out.

I enjoyed reading this. there were some surprises, especially the epilogue. However, the whole scenario and turn of events just seemed a little unrealistic.

This was not very useful to me, and it seemed rather dated. Instead of giving practical information it is mostly about what this famous dancer eats in the morning or what this other famous dancer weighs, etc.

This book was excellent. A good story as well as educational, I learned some about Chile in the 19th century, the California gold rush, and how they transported tropical fruit to the USA while keeping it fresh without modern-day refrigeration.

I was disappointed with this book. I remember reading her column in the newspaper when I ws a teenager and enjoying it, but it seemed that there was more complaining about her family than anything positive.

I wasn't as impressed with the third book in the trilogy as the other two. It was entertaining but it doesn't hold a candle to the Left Behind series.

This was an interesting read, but I found the author's idea of heaven as rather depressing. To get a different view of Heaven, I recommend reading Deadline by Randy Alcorn.

This is definitely not a quick read. It is so packed with information you have to give your brain time to absorb it all. I loved this book. There is so much I never knew about Australia and it makes me want to go visit it and learn more about it.

This is a funny children's book based, of course, on King Kong. My children loved it.
