I'm always in awe when I read one of Greg Bear's books. How does a person create such a believable world to such a detailed level, and keep track of it all. This is the sequel to Forge of God, and was equally as brilliant and such a joy to read.
I always get totally sucked into Bear's characters. They are so perfectly detailed, and have believable personalities. I still miss Olmy from the Eon, Eternity, and Legacy series.

Eon, the first book in the volume was great, once you become accustomed to all the science jargon and get a sense of what he is trying to set up.
Eternity, the second book, and with a lot of sequels, isn't quite as good, but still worth sticking with it to the end.

I highly recommend this book.
I loved the entire Joanna Blalock forensic pathologist series, and hated to see it come to an end. Not one book was disappointing, and all kept you guessing until the end. I wish Dr. Goldberg had many more books of fiction in his bibliography.
