I was required to buy and read this book as part of an introduction to Asian Studies course. It's a decent intro to China and gives you just enough of an overview to give you the tools you need to dig deeper into researching China topics.

This was the final train wreck in a steadily worsening progression of books in the later half of the series. It was very sad that this series, which started off being a fun and hilarious addition to the supernatural/mystery genre, ended this way.
