I love this devotional because it is not real involved just before sleep.
I reserve that kind for morning. I gifted this one because of just that.

I love Luci Swindolls books. A "Woman of Faith" who shares her faith with her readers.

I read this book in 2 days even though I am a slow reader.
Gripping and well written. Many parallels to life today.
On the left with suppression and oppression.
If it had only been possible to this kind of thing being
once in a lifetime. Alas, History does repeat itself when
society choses to forget.
By all means read it and pass it along for others.

Delightful memoir of 2 people one advanced in age the other half that age, who became very good friends. The type of friendship that's ageless. Of food, wine and countless hours of caring about each other in purely a unique way. Memorable!

This was a fabulous read. I followed a suggestion in the introduction.
It indicated that a note in the margin meant you could hear Min Kym perform the number selection at that point in the book. I listen to the album on Pandora (free) at each point indicated when it came in the story. The book would have been fabulous even within listening but it added such a delight to the story. She is a genius on the violin and I shall play her music often but feel compelled to give others the opportunity to enjoy her story. A real education to the discipline and intensity it takes to perform at that level.

Written to inspire courage in those daunted by wartimes shortages, How to Cook a Wolf continues to rally cooks during times of plenty, reminding them that providing sustenance requires more than putting food on the table. M. F. K. Fisher knew that the last thing hungry people needed were hints on cutting back and making do. Instead, she gives her readers license to dream, to experiment, to construct adventurous and delicious meals as a bulwark against a dreary, meager present. Her fine prose provides reason in itself to draw our chairs close to the hearth; we can still enjoy her company and her exhortations to celebrate life by eating well.
Delightful read!

I know everyone says it is one of the greatest books, but this is the second time,
it's a tough read. I have to admit I did it with Spark Notes. So I guess I cheated.
Life is short enough without spending it on one book. I am re reading the classics. They're not writing them like that anymore.

This, like Billy Graham's sermons is a wonderful way to start your daily devotions.
