Without a doubt, one of the best books I have ever read! I had gotten away from reading Stephen King, but after this marvel, I will begin reading him again. I forgot what a brilliant writer he is. This book is huge, but kept me captivated all the way through. WOW! is all I can say!

As this series winds down (this is he 2nd to last book in series), I am so saddened to see it go. I've come to know and love each character and they've grown.

Sadly, this is the final book in the Cedar Cove series. I will personally miss the characters I've come to know and love. But this book wraps up all the loose ends and it's a lovely Christmas read.

Excellent 2nd book in the Cedar Cove series! The characters are so real, seems like the reader is a part of the community. The story unfolds as it should, and there is also some mystery and intrigue.

One of Scottoline's best books ever! Could not put this one down...had me from page one. Great way of writing: alternating between the two main characters, and using a chronological backward deal with the husband's story. Sounds weird but it works! Great ending....did not see that coming!

Fabulous book! Takes place in the future in California after a world war bombing that destroyed all vegetation and ruined lives. Our heroine is trying to find her missing 3 year old daughter. Very intriguing...can't wait to read the 2nd one (Rebirth)!
