This book was recommended by my psychology teacher due to multiple personality traits and I enjoyed reading it, though I felt that some of the parts were a bit far-fetched to believe.

This book will give most people the "creepy" feeling while reading it that someone is staring in your window - even if you live in the middle of nowhere! Tess has the knack for writing suspensfully and reading will also make you want to keep going until you come to the very last sentence. Great book and would recommend if you haven't read her before, but start with her book, The Surgeon first.

What a good book and one that you'll find difficult to put down once you have started reading it.
The first body of a young woman, found on a Minneapolis riverbank, her throat cut, her body scourged and put on display. Whoever did this, Lucas Davenport knows, is pushed by brain chemistry. There is something wrong with him. This isn't a bad love affair.
The second body is found three weeks later, in a farm house six miles south. Same condition, same display-except this time, it is a man. Nothing to link the two victims, nothing to indicate that the killings end here. This guy.."Lucas said. He took a deep breath, let it out as a sigh. "This guy is going to bust our chops." And soon he is going to do far, far worse than that...

Patricia Cornwell's heroine Dr. Kay Scarpetta is back; this time to solve the mystery of the death of an Associated Press reporter who was killed while nosing about in a decommissioned navy yard. Scarpetta's involvement in the case leads her to be targeted for murder herself by a nasty little neo-fascist cult with delusions of grandeur that include a plan to "kill and maim, frighten, brainwash and torture" all who oppose their plan to rule the world. Helping Scarpetta is her niece Lucy, an F.B.I. agent whose computer expertise leads to a heart-stopping journey into cyberspace.
Cornwell's book is very suspenseful as she interacts with her niece, Lucy, the FBI computer guru to solve the mystery of the death. Good read.

Cannell has a futuristic thriller with Cold Hit. This is a great read and very hard to put down.

Reichs is able to capture forensic anthropology to a "T" because that is what she actually does. This was her first novel and I hope she continues to have Tempperance Brennan in many more novels. An apparent student suicide has brought medical examiner Sara Linton to the local college campus, along with her ex-husband, police chief Jeffrey Tolliver. But a horribly mutilated corpse yields up few answers. And a suspicious rash of subsequent "suicides" suggests that a different kind of terror is stalking the youth of Heartsdale, Georgia-a nightmare that is coming to prey on Sara Linton's loved ones.
Wow, what a lot of surprises in this book and it just keeps coming and knocking the breath of out you. Wonderful!
