King does it again.
He brings us back to 1958, then forward to 1963 portraying life with vivid detail (and even references another of his stories), giving his take on how and why Oswald wanted to kill Kennedy and how the assassination was prevented.
His re-created timeline is as plausible as the one we live in now as are the questions he brings up during the story.
As entertaining and addictive a read as anything he's ever written, I would highly recommend this story to anyone, even non-King fans.

A great story to listen to as long as you like an interesting premise and a lot of action.
The story unfolds at the 'end' and proceeds to take two steps backwards and one step forward in each chapter, re-writing the future (past?) each time.
Fast-paced and with some twists that you don't see (and few that you do), I would recommend this book to anyone.

Wow, was I surprised. I thought this would be good, but it was great.
The way the vampire hunting was interwoven with Lincoln's life and how it affected him from his boyhood to the presidency was done very well. From revenge, to a way of life and then retirement from being a hunter, made sense based on what he was going through in his life. How the vampires affected slavery and the Civil War was an interesting "alternate history" and I really liked how it ended.
I would recommend this to history buffs as well as those who enjoy vampire stories or fiction in general.

Great series for any age.
The reader does a great job and the story is just as good as the six before it (definitely read/listen to them in the correct order).
New info on the characters comes to light as the story continues and ends with a set-up for the next (final) book that leaves you hanging....

A worthy successor to Flood and better in some cases. Not just a continuation of Flood, this takes place simultaneously and even brings back characters from Flood.
Fast-paced and hard to put down, I couldn't wait to see what trials the characters would go through and how they would survive.
Baxter's imagination and descriptive writing make this a book I would recommend to anyone.

A fantastic reference book for anybody. Easy to read and understand.
Sections include Artists (with a bit of info on each one) and their hits, every song listed alphabetically, record holders, #1s and other lists.
This edition lists every song to hit the Billboard Top 40 from 1-1-55 to 12-25-99.
I keep this book within easy reach on my desk and use it regularly even though it's over 12 years old as of this review.

A pretty good thriller/romance.
The story is well-paced with a few lulls and one needs to suspend a bit of realism for how quickly the relationships and characters change. Some of the action sequences are deftly written (and read) and pull the reader right into the middle of what's going on.

James Bond is back and Jeffery Deaver brings him current.
This Bond is young enough to do the action and use the technology, the story has great pacing and the plot is believable.
Worth reading whether or not you've read the original stories by Ian Fleming or are even a fan of Bond.

This was a great listen. Really several stories/memories from the narrator's childhood, all of them with laugh out loud descriptions of life.

If you like the TV show, you'll like the story.
All the regular characters from the show are highlighted and there are several story lines going.
There is some crossover between the characters/suspects/cases and it's very easy to picture what's going on.
And just like some episodes, this one has an ending that is 'To Be Continued'

This book is one of the reasons young adult fiction is the home of some of the best books I've read/listened to over the past few years.
A post-apocalyptic near future is the setting. A plague has swept through the population and few survivors are living in enclaves underground. The story centers around a character named 'Deuce' and her position in the enclave as a huntress.
The story moves along quickly, gives just enough details to figure out where they are and keeps some information from the reader to keep the 'how did this happen?' suspense going.
The first thing I thought when the story ended was 'I can't believe it stopped there' because it felt like there was still so much more story to tell.
And I'll definitely be checking out the next book....

Wow. This is the first story I've read by Stephen Baxter and it was great.
If you like 'end-of-the-world' stories, grab this one.
The water is rising, government downplays its severity and it only gets worse.

Fantastic. One of the funniest stories I've read/heard (Never laughed so much listening to a book on CD).

An OK entry in the series.
The main characters of the previous stories, Max and Jamie, are here in cameo appearances only.
The pace is good, the mystery of what happened and how is good and the humor comes from a variety of situations.
Looking forward to the next installment.
