John Grisham goes outside his regular genre to write a book that basically takes place in only a few days. A beloved football coach is dying and the old team gets together to reminisce. That's it. But I loved the characters and their old stories and how they handle the final days of their coach and glory days.

Christine Coppa writes with such honesty that I found myself nodding along with her! Her unexpected pregnancy and all that goes along with it are documented in this book, culminating with the birth of her son. She has a blog on Glamour.com that I'm going to check out now that I've read the book and want to see what happens from here!

I was excited to read this because it had been so highly rated. To say the least, I was disappointed. I found it vulgar and somewhat upsetting, almost as if she was looking for the shock factor. I felt dirty after reading it, not empowered.
