Badge of Honor: Men in Blue, Special Operations, the Victim (Badge of Honor Ser. ; Vol. Set Bks 1-3))
Review Date: 4/19/2012

I have always enjoyed WEB Griffin's books. This series starts slightly slow but by the end of the first of the three books you're hooked. I read the other two books in about 3 hours because I wanted to know what happens with the perps and the cops. The author can really construct characters that allow the reader grasp and want to imagine themselves as as they continue with the storyline, getting lost in the story. Just what a good book should be.

Not true continuation of the First book. Has the same characters and some of the same storylines. I enjoyed this book and the third one also. I know there is some romance in this sci-fi book or some sci-fi in this romance book but I enjoyed any way.

Another strong start to a new series from an acclaimed military storyteller. The character development was rich and entertaining, including back stories to help the flow of the story. The main character is decorated soldier that due to familiar military history and self motivation achieves respect and authority coming from no one else but the President of the US.

A stolen plane and possible terrorists plot complicated by the lack of cooperation between intellence agencies is a plot that even today is still close to our thoughts.
There is some slow down in the middle of the plot but with some patience is does some together very effective and entertaining to the reader. The ending is wrapped up a little fast as with most of this author's work but hopefully like the rest of his series the next book takes right off and nothing is lost in the abrupt ending to these characters' story.

Overall, 4.5 out of 5 stars

Another fine Sigma force book. I am unpatiencely waiting for the next chapter. As always with this author the characters, regular and new, are well defined and developed. The setting and background are well developed and believeable. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys action and adventure. I just hope he keeps writing more books.

Elminster: The Making of a Mage (Forgotten Realms: Elminster Series, Bk 1)
Review Date: 5/17/2010

For a person who has read very few Forgotten Realms books. This book was enjoyable and a good entry point, for me at least, into the Forgotten Realms. The characters were both loveable and at times flusterating as a good character should be. I look forward to reading more of the adventures of Elminster.

I would recommend this book for a solid weekend of enjoyable fanasy reading.
