Absolutely wonderful book. The brutality that Syrians suffered has never been shared in history books throughout education. This book was so eye opening and beautifully written. I felt such a personal connection with the author. Purchasing it now to have permanently in my library.

Beautifully Written! I love Ms. Ung's wring style. And I especially loved reading about her Life After her escape from Cambodia "First They Killed My Father". So often we read about the escape, but rarely a follow up story. Highly recommend!
