Langenscheidt is the most reknown language guide in Germany.
This guide is easy to use to start using English in a English speaking country, - i.e. during travels, for the first months of settling down after moving. Lots of phrases for practical use.
Be aware, it might be a little heavy on British-English customs. Not every phrase applies to American English.

Despite the fact this isn't exactly a brand-new book, it's still a feast for the eye. Every time I'm turning the pages, I'm getting happy and excited to use my treasured hand-dyes. However, the patterns are quite do-able even for beginners, and the advanced quilter will end up with an interesting background for something gorgeous!

Nice if you think of using up scraps, since it's like paper piecing and pieces don't need to be on grain.
It sure makes fascinating and stunning quilts.

This book is a German translation. Unless you are familiar with the German language, it's kind of usless.
