This is a beautiful book that takes the reader through the alphabet showing something from a classic painting that fits the letter. The letter P is for pearls, the letter d is for dog. Only a portion of the painting is shown on the alphabet page and then in the back of the book is a depiction of the whole masterpiece. It is because of these pages that I have given this a low rating. Many of the paintings contain nudity and bare breasts: granted many works of art do, but I think something more appropriate could have been chosen for a children's book. The "naked people" was one of the first things my preschooler noticed and commented about. It is disappointing that with the tremendous amount of classic art out here the publishers could not have been more discerning.

Sewing for Tiny Tots: Sweet & Simple Clothes, Toys & Room Accents

At first glance I wasn't impressed with this book, but as I paged through it again and again, it grew on me.
Most of the projects are made with fleece and some knits. There are several cute ideas for stuffed animals, ideas for toddlers and babies.
