I must admit that I was *so* looking forward to reading this book and am so terribly disappointed now that I have. I have not read any of PDJames other books and if you are a fan of her work you might very well like this story too. However, as a huge fan of Jane Austen and of Pride & Prejudice I found this book to be an insipid imitation in style and honestly it was a chore to finish it. It has tarnished my memories of P&P.

I have been delighted with all of the Charlie Fox books to date. Most I read in a single sitting. . .that might be my only complaint. They suck me in too fast & I don't get much else done until it is finished. Then I am eager for the next installment.
