I found this book among the thousands of books my homeschooling mom friend has collected over the years. I read it aloud as part of my own homeschooling program for my 11 year old son. We both enjoyed the story. It has enough action and active voice to keep us both interested from chapter to chapter. The story is told through the eyes of a 12 year old indentured servant in Boston right before the start of the Revolution. I was glad I had found this little gem of a book.

This is one of the best books I have read about what it really means to be "saved", "born-again"; a "true" Christian. I read it aloud to my dying mother in her final weeks of her life and she finally understood the truth of God's sacrifice for her. It is a small, quick read. Very clear and thought-provoking.

I was looking for books similar to "The Great Brain" series to read aloud to my 11 year old son. This book is the closest I have come to the aforementioned series. My son laughed out loud at many parts in this book. We loved it.
