This book takes place in the Virginia Colonies, 1643. Lady Constance Morrow snuck aboard a ship without a chaperone in order to say goodbye to her dearest Uncle Skelly who was being transported to the colonies. But unfortunately for her she believed no one would ever harm the daughter of an Earl, but also she had no idea of the danger that she was in for. She left her maid behind when she bordered the ship and the captain had her thrown in the hold along with the female felons who were being sent as `tobacco brides' for the colonist farmers.
This is really a fun book to read. I do recommend it.

This was a fun book to read. Life does not always turn out the way you planned and sometimes there are painful happenings along the way, but in this book God moved Carolyn out of her comfort zone to draw her back to Him. I was really caught up in the story of Carolyn & Bryan and the different generations of women in the family. This book makes me want to visit the Canary Islands. The book has wonderful descriptions, like you are right there watching the events unfold. Her characters come to life and the reader is drawn into the character's life and struggles. This is a great book to read.

Like all of McCourtney's books, this is a great novel to read. I read it in a couple of days, but only because I couldn't put it down! This book is full of turns and twists and adventures, you'll instantly fall in love with the character Silver and the kindly and loveable Chris. I definatly recommend this book.

Irene Hannon is one of my favorite authors and this book is excellent; a page-turner. Reporter, Moira Harrison is lost, in the dark, in a thunderstorm, when suddenly a figure appears in her headlights. She slams on her brakes - but it is too late and she feels the thump against the side of the car before crashing into a tree on the side of the road. She blacks out and when she comes to, she is all alone, no injured person, and she can't get anyone to believe her story of what happened. If you are an Irene Hannon fan, then you will love this story.
