Adrenaline 2000: The Year's Best Stories of Adventure and Survival (Adrenaline)
Review Date: 7/17/2012

A collection of adventure stories that take you to places that are a bit out of the ordinary, experiences that get your "adrenaline" up. If you like books in the adventure genre, this is a must read.
(I liked it; I rated it 4 stars which is the highest rating I give, 5 stars is reserved for my all-time favorite 20 books.)

"Agincourt" is one of the most famous battles in British history. Cornwell renders it as a very interesting and enjoyable story, this is a adventure, not a history book!

Excellent. Historical accuracy, excellent character development, this is one of those books that I did not want to end, kinda wish there was a sequel.

I enjoyed this very much.
I like books like Michenor's Alaska & Hawaii, Memoirs of a Geisha, etc - novels that are interesting and also give me a window into other cultures. This book falls into that category.

wow. I reserve "5 stars" for my 20 favorite books, but I had to make an exception - this was outstanding.
WW I, history, culture, memorable characters, I did not put this down. Check the reviews in amazon for more details then if you are at all interested in the story, read it.

I read all of the "adventure in africa" books I can find... how did this slip by me all these years, this was excellent!
The book is basically a memoir about growing up in Africa, horses, and flying in the early part of the 20th century. Extremely well written and engaging, I enjoyed it thoroughly.

I've subsequently learned that it may in fact have been penned by Hemingway... maybe or maybe not, but its good enough that it could have been.
