I enjoyed this book. I had just read another Mary Wesley novel that I also liked. I enjoy her characters and really felt like I had a good picture of the time she was describing. It was interesting in the way it bounced back and forth from the past and the present. It was a quick read as I felt really invested in it and wanted to know what was going to happen with all the characters.

I could not put this book down. Really intense. If I didn't assume a happy ending (based on the fact that it is written by both mom and daughter) I don't think I could have read it. The issues that lead to the daughter's drug abuse, though not graphic, were difficult to read about. Really great book.

This is a great book. It's useful for parenting children of all ages, and really the techniques discussed work well with adult interactions as well. It seems to be Non Violent Communication techniques specifically geared to dealing with children. It was helpful to me with my toddler recently and I recommended it to a friend who was dealing with a very difficult older teen. Worked well for both ages. it's a quick read and has practical strategies.

This is a great book. It was very visual for me. The method by which he presented the history worked really well for me. The fact that there was a little mysterious back story hinted at throughout really kept me wondering. I'd definitely recommend this book.

Enjoyed this book a lot! Interesting story told through the eyes of someone who had died. I liked her story and the intertwined story of a living woman.
