This book is a shocking, horrific pageturner! I'm very picky with true crime books, but this one rates as one of my top 10. The most striking part of the story is how you find yourself wondering how you feel about Karla.... is she a criminal or a victim? I honestly felt she was a victim.

This honestly wasn't a page turner for me as far as true crime books. I was surprised with all the great reviews, but I didn't find it that exciting. However, I feel like I learned a lot about the law system, and I have never been so angered at how little the law does to protect battered women from their spouses... this will enrage you!

I've read every true crime book, watched every snuff film, and have the self-proclaimed strongest stomach...this is the first piece of work that has EVER made my stomach turn. Definitely within the top 3 most graphic and horrifying true crime books I have ever read, things he does are absolutely unimaginable, and he just has NO remorse in him whatsoever. EXTREMELY well written and well research, the author has an engaging way of writing, not just boring facts being stated. Highly recommended!!
