A harsh disturbing story of Howard Hughes and his influence on America politics. The book can plod along at times given the authors determination to spend time explaining countless pieces of correspondence but the content is such that I kept after it. I obtained the book thinking it would describe his earlier years which it did not. A good read if you find the subject matter interesting.

Zirin can't make up his mind whether he is talking about sports or politics and accomplishes neither. Game Over is largely an opinion piece that he contorts to accommodate the occasional quote. Difficult to read with the only redeeming quality being its relative brevity. Find something else to read with your valuable time.

Very disappointed in this book as I am intrigued by the subject matter and enjoy Howie Carr. Book has no flow and reads like statements made to the police. The book presumes that the reader is familiar with the characters which I was not. Perhaps a good book for someone already familiar with the story. Not for me. I stayed with the book for about 40-50 pages and gave up.

wickedly funny book with a dark humor. Made me laugh out loud alone in my back yard. Quick read. Semple skewers Seattle and its residents with a wit reserved for someone who know the city and loves it. Great summer read.

This is a series of quick chapters on baseball characters. I think the serious fan will not find anything new except for a quick boost to their memory. Very disappointed in this book.
