Excellent story, a whodunit until the last page of the book. Keeps your interest from beginning to the end. Hope Dr. Smith is writing his next novel.

In this book, Joyce Meyer draws on her decades of experience interacting with and ministering to women. The message in this book is also the result of her personal journey from insecurity and self-hatred to a confidence through which she is realizing her potential. Through Joyce's classic clarity and practicality, you will learn how to overcome all obstacles to live a bold, victorious life. She explains that true confidence is faith in Christ and comes from being open to learning. She reminds us that "women are a precious gift from God to the world. They are creative, sensitive, compassionate, and talented." Joyce gives women the keys to identifying barriers to confidence, explores the empowerment that comes from preparation, and outlines the steps to independence through dependence on God. She explores the seven characteristics of a woman, which includes a woman who knows she is loved, who refuses to live in fear, and who does not live by comparisons, "if onlys," or "what ifs."
This book was enlightening and interesting. Some of the suggestions have you reevaluating your life and making changes to better yourself.

This book gave me a better understanding of how African American boys grave knowledge and the support that is not available to them. Also how their own community is afraid of bettering themselves even if it is to lift up the next brother or sister. People are not only afraid of failure but success also. This was an awesome read and definitely would recommend anyone with a male child to read this.

i do not think i read the same book as some of the others did because it was something i liked but i read two other books before i finished this one (i never do that) but maybe because it was written by a caucasion from african-american pov. i did like the characters esp. minny, but i guess it just wasn't a surprise on how "the Help" was treated.

This book was a great read. I believe in the power being from within and this book demonstrates that religious beliefs can be worshipped in different ways. It is sad that when a person or group of people are different or have different ways, the majority is quick to judge and dismiss.

Love any book by Walter Mosley and this is the second book in the series. Mr. McGill continues to keep everyone on their toes and love his methods of getting to the truth. Big fan of any who fights for the underdog no matter what their status is in society.

A must read for women who have a stepping stone man or waterdown version of a man in their lives. It makes you look at the choices you made about the men in your life and make some changes for the future. This was the cheapest therapy I will ever have to pay for and enjoyed!

There's nothing a man hates worse than his woman discussing their private business with her girlfriends. Especially when these girlfriends make it their business to use the information as a part of daily conversation with someone else.
Often, DeDe's only way to release her anger and hurt from the frequent drama with Stephan, her boyfriend of three years is to confide in her co-worker, Dionne. Stephen seems to plea for "some space' every two weeks or so. His made for television drama queen babymama, Shannon, who DeDe is the main cause of all their difficulties, also stirs the pot.
After listening to DeDe complain and cry without ever realizing she's being played, Dionne gets frustrated. When Dionne tells her best friend Charlotte about DeDe's plight, she doesn't think she's gossiping or breaching a confidence. And of course her best buddy Charlotte would never tell anyone; but she did. The question is, who did she tell and why did this vicious cycle narratives begin?
With gossip, drama, conflict, tragedy and romance, Sonia Caulton tells a riveting story involving trust, confidence, and betrayal. There's endless love for the needy boyfriend and unrequited love for a few good men. Our 'leading lady" DeDe, also has to contend with her groupie twin siblings as well. Kendra is trifling and doesn't mind sleeping with men who have money. Kendall also likes rubbing elbows with the rich and famous entertainers and pro athletes. It's suppose to be a secret, but some of them like him too.
No More Love Making is bursting with twists, turns and surprises. After reading this drama-filled romance novel, it will have readers asking, If you're not making love, what in the hell are you doing?"

i don't like monkees of any kind... it was a gag gift, but being the reader that i am i decided to give it a try. a cute story that had me laughing at the boy and the "monkey business" he became involved w/, but it shows how strong his relationship w/ his family and especially his grandfather is.
