This one just didn't grab me. I tried to read it, but I promised myself a long time ago that my reading time was too precious to spend on something that I didn't truly enjoy, so I put it down and put it back on the list. The context of the story sounded fascinating, and the reviews I had read were positive. I was disappointed.

Quick, easy read with loveable characters! If you have read Andrews' other books with these characters, you will enjoy it tremendously!

This book has an otherworldly charm that hooked my interest, and I am eagerly awaiting the second in the series. In Defending Angels, a young lawyer finds herself defending clients from the world beyond the realm of the living -- with surprising success. This was a quick and easy read, and I recommend it highly.

This book was a gripper from the very first page. I am the mother of a daughter, so I found myself wondering what I would do if I found myself in the position this mother found herself in -- the parent of a child with brittle bones, no money to support the child -- and then someone offered me the chance to sue to get the money I needed? It was an awesome story and very thought provoking. I read it start to finish in one day! My only complaint was that someone always has to die in Picoult's books!

Poppy Done to Death was an excellent read with Charlaine Harris' usual quirky plot twists and enjoyable characters. I would recommend it.

This was my first MaryJanice Davidson novel, but it won't be my last. Fred, the grumpy mermaid, is a laugh a minute. I truly enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the rest of the series.
