Strong in multimedia concepts, though outdated in terms of software
With a 1994 copyright, the book's specific advice on multimedia software is, of course, outdated. However, the concepts for multimedia authoring remain valid and useful. The included CD's software is old, but there are some good general tutorials.

Copyright 1998, so listings are out of date and require research for use. However, book can give an idea of where to find health retreats. When up-to-date, this was a terrific book. I have not been able to find a current guide specific to the US.

A charming, slender book of quotations and photographs related to forgiveness and other aspects of relationships

Intriguing plot, with well-delineated characters that "grow on" the reader

This compact book delivers a lot in a small package: help in identifying constellations plus a bit of history/folklore for each. The diagrams are very helpful. The Pocket Guide format enables me to take it on hikes. it's great. I like it so well I have no intention of reposting anytime soon.

Though fairly old, this book presents the concepts of personal computers in an easy-to-understand, nearly timeless fashion. It deals with broad concepts, such as "operating system," rather than focusing on specifics. Written as a textbook, it includes questions and projects. Happily, the website references given in the text are still active.

Excellent book, clearly written.
Not as good as an instructor-led class, but, with the demos in the DVD, a fine aid to getting started with Plates.

This book is incorrectly categorized as Buddhism! It's very Christian-oriented. I was disappointed, because I thought it was a guide to meditation for persons of all orientations. I imagine it is wonderful for Christians, but not for Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, etc.

Charming, poignant, insightful. Dr. Trout, a veterinary surgeon, takes the reader through a day in an animal hospital--a long, eventful day. He skillfully intersperses the day's events with biographical and philosophical asides. Of interest to all animal lovers, it is quickly read, leaving the reader wishing for more.

In this book Poirot is assisted by mystery writer Ariadne Oliver. Refreshingly, Poirot has moments of self-doubt as he follows the convoluted clues. A good read.

Interesting fictional exploration of the boundaries between fact and fiction. The narrator, a writing teacher, witnesses an accident which he thinks he might have prevented, and becomes obsessed with the victim and her life. Did this really happen, or is he simply using an effective example for his students? His psychological--or real?--journey offers a compelling story.

Beyond the droll humor of the detective-animals, Mrs. Murphy and Tucker, lies an absorbing mystery.
