Sweet story about the lives of two very different families early in the twentieth century. Gideon and Isaac are the sons of an Amish family and a Jewish family. Their lives intertwine after an unfortunate wagon wreck. This book is written for age 10-14, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have only read a few chapters (there are fifty!) but I wanted to get a review on the webpage.
If you enjoyed your college science courses you will love this fascinating book. It's like sitting in a lecture given by a wise, godly biology or chemistry professor.
You'll be taking notes!
There are so many different branches of science represented I can hardly decide which chapter to read next.
The material in this book is perfect for sharing with believing or non-believing teachers(math and science), veterinarians, engineers, health care professionals or anyone with background in any type science.

I always say, 'People who use profanity are trying to hide their low vocabulary.' I don't know what to think about a young woman with such a potty-mouth. She can write, but I don't want to read it! One chapter was it for me. I liked sweet Amy Adams much better than I like crass and vulgar Julie Powell.

This fast moving account of a plane crash and the rescue of survivors is gripping. The people involved are made bigger than life by Mitchell Zuckoff. It's a fascinating mix of WWII, medical and survival stories with a stone age tribe thrown in. I loved it! Highly recommended.

This is an audio book with a narrator and actors performing the dialogue. Willowby and Edward Farrars are voiced by the same actor. That just does not work for me! I couldn't listen past the first disc.

This a 'consumable' with one page per day. Each page is an activity with a short verse and prayer. Very attractive illustrations.
