I like zombies. I like post apocalyptic settings. I thought I would like this book. I did not. I found the characters motives and actions really hard to comprehend.

As with so many books somewhere in the middle I'm not sure I want to continue reading. But I'm always pleased when I do push through to find a solid ending.

I can't say I know much about the Africa theater during WW2, but that didn't stop me from enjoying Robert Crisp's account of his time there.

I grokked this book in fullness and found it wanting. On the sci-fi front the technological aspects have not aged well. From a 'future society' standpoint it felt more like a commentary on the counter culture movement of the late 60's. Worth a read if you want to read a sci-fi book from the 60's.

I'm sure there's a good story in here, as it is well reviewed elsewhere. I gave it 50 pages and wasn't interested in continuing.
