Quite a different story line than most gothic romance books! Lots of twists and turns with a fierce, strongly independent heroine! It does have a satisfying ending!

This is a rather twisted Gothic Romance. It keeps you guessing the whole time who is hampering the heroine's quest to know who her real father really is. The ending is a surprise and I never guessed how the events would unfold.

This is not your typical Cinderella story. The beginning of the book reveals the harsh side of being an orphan during 1800's England. The heroine does not realize her eventual happiness until the end of the novel. But I honestly couldn't put the book down.

After her father's death, Olivia Drummond accepted her uncle's invitation to return to Dunmoore, where she spent her childhood summers. But the castle had become a crumbling shell, and the chivalrous prince--her cousin Alex--was a brooding, tormented stranger. A paralyzing fear enveloped Olivia--fear that she was a helpless pawn in a secret conspiracy...A great read! Kept me hooked to the end!

I was very disappointed in this story. It was too long and unbelievable! The heroine, supposedly educated, believed the most unbelievable things. Too naive by half! And the romance was simply sex and more sex - very explicit. Not to my taste at all!

This was a nice change from the Zebra Gothic Romances! The story takes place in the late 1800's in what is now the state of Florida. I appreciated the moral tones of this book about a minister's niece who finds herself in the middle of a family in crisis along with some intrigue and danger! A good read!
