I came away appreciating Barabara Walters even more after reading about her amazing parents, her sister and the struggle she had as a woman in the profession she chose. Her personal comments and reflections were an honest and frank look at herself. The history she lived through, the people she interviewed!! A great read!

I really enjoyed the book. Ms McClanahan worked hard to get where she is, and after all her marriages and liasons to the wrong guys, she will enjoy her final years with a good one. She's an amazing woman, great sense of humor.
I loved hearing the stories about the Golden Girls;my mom and I always watched the shows together and shared some good laughs.

Ms Thomas's reflections on the life she lived after her husbands tragic accident;getting thru the guilt she felt each time she visited and then left to go back to the home she shared with him and the reflecting memories of their time together. Sad, but not maudlin. For richer or poorer,in sickness,etc....marriage is a committment and she kept true to the vows, helped by her dogs comforting presence in times of loneliness.
