Breanna came to Xanth with the Black Wave when she was nine years old. At fifteen, she is the only Mundane, in her group, to possess a magical talent. That talent, however, gets her into a very messy situation. Xeth Zombie, the newly elected "King of the Zombies", is looking for a Queen, and finds Breanna in the wrong place, at the right time. Now, the young woman must find a way to get out of marrying a (Yuck!) Zombie.
In her Adventure she will discover many things, and meet many of the residents of this magical land, and learn many things about Xanth, and herself.
I enjoyed this story which was not only fun, as this entire series continues to be, but taught a lesson or two in the process.
