The author's attention to precise detail in this story is both commendable and somewhat distracting at the same time. While residents of St. Louis may find it interesting, the exact address of every bar and store at which the kidnappers stopped was distracting to me. The style seemed more suited to a newspaper account than a novel. Overall, however, an interesting story.
