This book is a zen buddhist classic. It is not easy reading, but it explores the concepts of zen buddhism in a thorough way.

This is one of the most profound yet comprehensible books on buddhist philosophy ever written for the western reader.

A classic of Zen, many think because of the title of the book that it is for beginners. What it refers to is the mind that is free of expectation, that we all have when starting something new. A wonderful collection of talks from a true Zen master.
