This book basically has the four noble truths and the eightfold path as it pertains to food. It is useful because it gives you an alternate way to deal with emotions instead of eating them. I am not a Buddhist but I do see the value of identifying your emotions, watching how you act, and allowing things to be as they are.
The premis of this book is good, but the execution isn't. If you have a basic understanding of Buddhism you will understand what the author is trying to say, but if you don't you will be somewhat confused.
