Having been to Alaska, I found this book fascinating. It is three novels in one book, but it is actually one big story. It is about the Alaskan Gold Rush in the late 1800's. It has a definite religious tone, but I think it added to the story. Well written, believable. I enjoyed it.

I really really enjoyed this trilogy. These women...Grace, Karen, and Miranda endure unimaginable hardships and look to their faith to get them through. At a challenging time in my own life, these God-fearing women inspired me to press on. And they reminded me that no matter what mess we find ourselves in...God is always in control.
