This book is a great compilation of reasons and methods of several different families' homeschooling adventures. Very helpful and encouraging, and humorous. It debunks the myth that you must "have twelve children, raise goats, and bake my own bread" in order to be a successful homeschooler.

A great book for those thinking about homeschooling. You get to "meet" different homeschooling families and learn a little bit about the why's and how's of homeschooling. A quick read, too. I was done with it within just a few days.

This was a good, quick read on homeschooling in general for people who are thinking about doing it or perhaps who have just started it. I read it in addition to several other online and print sources shortly after pulling my son out of school for health reason to homeschool him, and I found it to be practical and reassuring. There is some focus on religion, as the author homeschools for religious purposes and the publishing company is a religious one, but not all of the resources listed in the book are religious ones. I found the information useful and we are a strictly secular homeschooling family.

This book is a quick read, giving several different "stories" of homeschool families. It briefly covers many different types of homeschooling with an apendix at the end for further research. The first person "welcome to my house" narrative make the book easy to follow and at the same time provides a lot of information about homeschooling. I recommend it for those thinking about homeschooling.
