An easy, pleasant read with some neat twists on the old Holocaust survivor story. While it's not a Do Not Miss, it is a I'm Glad I Did.

Ex-nun Chris Bennet needs more than kindness when she begins helping three elderly people with their harassing landlord on Manhattan's West Side. When she finds Mr. Herskovitz dead on the eve of Yom Kippur, she takes a special interest. Each of the books in this series used a holiday as its setting.
