This was a really interesting mix of fantasy stories that included heroic fantasy, as well as what we now call urban fantasy. My favorite story in this collection was "A Place To Stay For A Little While" by Jim Aikin. In this story, Cynthia Lutz runs a boarding home for misfit creatures. They dont pay her, she simply takes care of them. There is a ghost, a shape-shifter, a talking radio, a child whose emotions can cause an earthquake, an elderly woman who never makes any sense, and an old man who patches holes in the world. Into this menagerie walks, a human named Steven, who can control people with his mind. This story, like many other's in this collection, goes off in an unexpected direction. Really interesting story.
