Everything you need to know to make a determination as to whether or not you're likely to enjoy this book can be found on the front cover. The top banner declares "The Official Publication of the 2012 Stanley Cup Final" while an emblem beneath the title clearly states that this is an "Official Licensed Product" of the NHL. The graphic located front and center depicts the Stanley Cup and the Los Angeles Kings' logo, proudly declaring "2012 Stanley Cup Champions", while two photos show Kings players happily lifting the Stanley Cup.

For those who are uninterested after reading the description in the first paragraph, nothing else will make the book appealing to you. Those who ARE still interested may appreciate the book's interior. The Kings' regular season is described, as is each game of their 2012 playoff year. There is a biography of each player on the team, along with their career statistics. Each article is accompanied by one or more excellently chosen photos.

In short, Kings fans will love this book. Hockey fans (except those who have a hatred of the NHL's Los Angeles franchise) will probably like this book, as well. Others ... not so much.

RATING: 4 stars.
