A well written/crafted woman with very mature acting characters.

A great Harlequin Superromance! Inglath Cooper gets to the heart of this troubled woman and sets up a realistic story. Recommended.

Audrey has an outwardly beautiful life and handsome husband, but is being horribly abused by him. She finally decides to try to run away, but former prosecutor Nicholas keeps interfering. He suspects the abuse that's going on and wants to make it right.
A short book, but very good.

A young woman's fear of her husband's violence and power have her running with her young son. A man who recognized the look in her eyes and somehow knew the person hidden inside wants to help. He follows her bringing along his love for her. Of course, he brings danger and fear as well. Great story!

She has the life most women dream of...
Too bad for Audrey Colby it's all a facade. Her seemingly devoted husband is really a monster. Their high-society "friends" protect his ugly secrets. The mansion they live in is just a gilded prison for her and her son, Sammy. Everything hinges on escape. One day, Audrey decides she and her son need to escape. She's had enough. If only Nicholas Wakefield would stop interfering.
Former state prosecutor Nicholas has seen his share of violence perpetrated against women. He knows there are some injustices he can't make right, like the unsolved rape and murder of his teenage sister. He failed her. But he won't fail Audrey...
